Tipperary Mental Health Week
Tipperary Mental Health Week will present two public talks with psychologist & author, Shane Martin on Monday, October 9th. – Rosemary St, Roscrea between 10 am – 12 pm. – St. Ailbes, Tipp Town between 3 – 5 pm. Please note, that the seating capacity at Roscrea is limited.

MindMatters CoI, the Church of Ireland’s mental health promotion project, will mark its third year with a major all–island conference in Dublin on October 20. Dromore Cathedral Men United Initiative
Men United is a new group for men of all ages from within the Church family and the community. It is intended to hold monthly gatherings with the first taking place on Sat 7th Oct with a walk in the Mournes concluding with a coffee and scone (code for a fry up!) in Newcastle. In group, men can experience a sense of belonging and closeness that reduces isolation, frustration, and depression.

Derry and Raphoe publish mental health handbook
The diocese of Derry and Raphoe have developed a new resource to help clergy signpost parishioners experiencing mental health difficulties to appropriate agencies who can offer support and assistance. Booking is now open for the MindMattersCOI Conference – 20th October 2023
The MindMattersCOI team are delighted to announce that booking is now open for the Church of Ireland’s Mental Health MindMatters conference, taking place on Friday, 20th October, in Dublin. The guest speakers include the Archbishop of Canterbury, and Barbara Brennan (See Change). Please see the attachment for a brief overview of this significant occasion.

We really hope there will be representation from all the dioceses, those involved in MindMatters projects, Mental Health champions, clergy, members from parishes, volunteers and partner churches and organisations with an interest in mental health and the Church.
